Finding Doctor Light after level 1. I heard from that chick robot back at Light's lab that he went off into the mountains somewhere to look for me. Thing is, I've been exploring the entire world for about 5 hours now and logged in about 82 deaths and still haven't found the bastard. Any ideas?

82 Deaths?
... Says she who made Hidden Duality Extreme. ;) :p

A'ight. Let's see. Those mountains, are more than likely west of Level 1. Did you check the streetmaps scattered around the "overworld?" They're actually pretty useful. ;)

doesn't help much and as for 82 deaths, I always tally an enormous kill count my first time through ANY quest. After that though, its 0 deaths. But if I don't know what I'm doing, I die a lot.

What button do you press to get out of the last story screen, I mashed every button, and it wouldn't go to the next part of the story or end the story.

Joking, but seriously, I do want to progress further, but Dr. Light simply doesn't exist! Baby step solution requested please.

Ohh fortunately I noticed this topic. That walkthrough sucks but it tells where to find that bastard Light. ;) Find the part "3A. MEGABUSTER" in the walkthru and there is your answer.
but 82 deaths? I hope you are not playing the old MMDWR..

nope, playing the new. I always suck when I FIRST play a quest for the FIRST time. After that, I hardly get any deaths. But the first time through, I'm usually experimenting and going in all sorts of places I shouldn't be. lol

DFW, go to the mine caves west from Lv.2 and light will be there and he will give you a recieve.

Maybe I should let you know that this is optional... The buster can be bought later on, but find Light if you rather get it for free.

And the Megabuster is not really useful to defeat enemies... You need it in Tornis Tower, but as PolygonX8 says, you can buy it: in Tornis City, for 200 zens. The Megabuster upgrade is also available there, but for a whopping 400 zens!

Cruiser boss...?

Oh yes, that big bomb looking thing. Two things: Move slowly and carefully and when the boss opens its mouth start shooting like crazy.

If I'm not completely wrong, you can skip the cruiser level for now and come back later if the bosses feel too hard.
