View Full Version : Help with ZQuest 2.10

I am having a few problems, just wondering if I am doing something wrong or what. Trying to make a dungeon.

#1. When I make a bombable door to lead to a 10 rupie room, the door appears but link can't walk through it, and I did make the room on the other side with a bombable door corresponding to it, then I tried to make the doors pushable but link still cant get through it. Any ideas?

#2. I made a room with a statue, when you burn the statue with a candle a stairway opens up in a corner. I have it set to special item room, raft for special item, warp to 80, it warps link to the right room, but instead of appearing at the top of the ladder he appears at the bottom of the room stuck in the wall.

#3. In another room I placed a shutter door, with a movable block, Screen data set so block->shutters, but the door is open when link goes into it.

Also, anyone know where I can find a enemies guide? So i can place the correct enemies for skill/equipment levels. The one that I found a hyperlink to in the tutorial isnt there.

setting you dmaps to dungeon?
setting the blue and green squares?

It might be best to look at an example quest to get an idea of what enemies to place.
I have an old list HERE (http://storm.prohosting.com/~mfreedom/enemies/enemies.htm) but don't know how much it will really help.

The DMap is set to dungeon, I can run around the dungeon, just makes link appear in wrong place in the item room, and the bomb doors dont work right.
, i built a dungeon following the tutorial using 1.93 (i think) and it worked fine.

What do you mean by setting the blue and green tiles?

The green and blue tiles you set for warps to position link, if they are set wrong it may be taking link there, or you may have set your warp wrong, set the dmap and the screen 80, with cave/item location.
Check the door combo set in your tileset to make sure the bombable doors/walls are in there, I guess, there is no bug I know of that would stop it from working in the 2.10 if it did work in the 192.
