I just downloaded 1.92 184 version and while im playing, the game keeps slowing down and almost freezing. I had the 1.90 version on my comp before but never had this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Download 2.10, a lot of bugs have been fixed and its quite stable.

I did download the 2.10 version but when I try to use it nothing happens. I copied and pasted into the zc1.92 folder to replace the old zquest program. Should I have done this? Also does the download come with a better graphical version of the game or do I need to download that too?

why don't you jsut download the windows installer and install in a new folder ... it'll make everything simpler ;)

ZC 2.10 requires new support files in order to work properly. As g.iaroos said, it's much easier to use fatcatfan's installer, or you should be able to find the new support files as well if you don't want to use the installer. But, the installer worked great for me.

Hope this helps!!

Either use this installer, that I had no idea about. Or just copy the files into the new folder, since the player and the quest maker are the only files, download the support files which includes the quest files and stuff, that should get it up and running.

Ah this sucks...I got the 2.10 version to work but its still horribly slow. Where is this installer program that you speak of?

ammoxcrew,
You aren't giving anyone any information that would allow them to help you.
computer specs?
operating system?
version of direct x?

If you're running it on a 15 year old Tandy, you can bet it's going to be slow
If you're running other programs in the background, like instant messagers, it's going to effect performance.

The installer is right under the files in the 2.10 thread, but if it's running already that probably isn't your problem.
You might try it anyway.
