Help needed on 3 or 6 Triforce RUle

Just wanting to understand it a lot better.

How does this rule work. Cause it allows you to have 3 lg or 6 Triforce pieces to enter the final level. How does this work for the Triforce Grid so I can keep this in mind since my newest quest I am working on has 6 triforce dungeons.

The 6-Triforce rule will cause the grid to be filled in pairs. 1 and 2, 3 and 4, and so forth. You just need to arrange the grid appropriately so you get both pieces next to eachother.
I'ts been awhile since I've seen it in action, though. I can't remember whether it will honor or ignore your grid setup, because at one point it used to ignore it and use the default.
