how do I start up a quest?

Wow, that's pretty vague. Do you mean you don't know where to download ZeldaClassic, you don't know which file is the editor, or you're having trouble using the editor?

You can download ZeldaClassic 2.10 at this site:

Once you download everything, look for the program file called ZQuest. Its icon looks like three yellow triangles on a blue background. That's the quest editor for making your own quests. The silver icon with the name zelda-w is what you use to play the quests.
