Anyone have a good MIDI that would fit in a foggy forest-type area? Nothing to mystical sounding. Somthing akin to impending doom might be nice.

Maybe that one? *shrugs*

I made that one, actually, and I've been meaning to update it. Here's a newer one - LunaticPandora.mid (http://saffith.homestead.com/files/LunaticPandora.mid)

Be careful if you do use that, though; there's a sustain on channel 3 that never lets up, which would probably screw up songs played afterward.

Thanks for your suggestions, guys :) . Although I won't be using the Lunatic Pandora for my forest, I will use it for a different area. It sounded more like something that would fit in an icy cave because of the... Erm.. Would you call it bleepyness?

BH4 IM'ed me, and supplied me with a Terranigma MIDI that I'll use.

But another thing came to mind, as well... I kinda need a dark sounding MIDI for an evil forest. I'm planning to make an alternate area for it, kinda like in Silent Hill 3. In that game, you would be in a normal area, such as the mall. Everything looks normal (not counting the monsters), but when you ride a certain elevator, the mall starts to look like years have passed. The shops look all rusted, and there are sudden dropoffs on the escalators.

Basically, I'm looking for a hellish MIDI that would suit a dead forest, now.

Try that one for a hellish forest.

Very dark and foreboding, an omen of impending doom.

Uhm, a warning to all you people linking to VGMusic.com - don't. The links are blocked because that site won't let you link directly to their MIDI without explicit permission. It sends the clicker to an 303 error page saying "This person was bad - only certain sites are allowed to link directly to our wares, and forums aren't it."

Don't link directly to the MIDI, list where the MIDI is found like "VGMusic.com: Playstation, (name of game and MIDI)." I'm sure the person isn't lazy enough to make a new window, go to VGMusic.com's site and use the pull-down window to access the MIDI they need. I've used that site many times before and it's not impossible to go to the MIDI without a direct link.

Actually, it says right there on the block page that links from forums are okay as long as bgsound and embed tags aren't used...they even provide a link to the file. :D
