I was just wondering, was is the difference between different Dmap types like dungeon, cave, overworld, and overworld bs (or something like that)?
What can you do with each kind that you can't with the other kinds. Like what can you do with a dungeon Dmap that you can't do with a cave Dmap and what can you do with a cave Dmap that you can't do with a dungeon Dmap?

Dmap is for dungeon levels and what Dmap mode does is when you enter through a door, it makes it look like you are inside the door way, now if you put over world on the dungeon levels, when you enter through the door, you just walk right over it and it looks un real. thats all i know

Dungeon dmaps have temp secrets, and the doors work.

Cave dmaps have perm. secrets, but you can make them temp or perm, but the doors don't work.

overworld is a "double" or full 16x8 map where cave, dungeon, and BS are 8x8 maps

Note if you select 'freeform dungeons' the walls won't automatically overlap you in dungeon dmaps. What you do instead is make your door tops and the like 'overhead' combos which tells ZC to draw them over top of you.

in fact there are not many things you can do in a dungeon dmap that you can't do in a cave one ... it is just easier to do them in the dungeon one

So that's why Link was walking over the doors...
Thank you everyone.
