Is this file important?

I can't open Zelda Classic and my computer says the problem is due to a file called "alleg41.dll". What do I do?

you have to download alleg41.dll. i had the same problem. i just erased everything, dowloaded the 2.10 file, the alleg41 file and the windows installer, then extracted all and opened the installer first. i didn't even have to open the zquest file.

I do not quite understand the stuff in bold. I do not know a lot of tech stuff-- im a n00b.

In the thread that you get the 2.10 there is a version at the bottom that has an installer with it instead of you downloading and installing the individual files yourself
