The Macworld Expo was today, and Apple unveiled several new products, including a new Macintosh that's selling for under $500 (without monitor), and a new flash based iPod. Check'm out:

The Mac mini looks like a neat little machine. I think it's aimed at people who have been wanting to try a Mac but didn't have the money to do so before. The system is not top of the line (it doesn't have a G5 for instance), but it's pretty nice and comes with a lot of software - OS X Panther, iLife 05, Apple Works 6, Quicken 2005, and two games.
I'm hoping the Mac mini does really well and gets Apple a lot of switchers. They make terrific stuff.
