Whenever I use zelda classic for windows (2.1 currently) the left side of the screen bends and I don't have any sound. I have downloaded all support files for the respected version and have placed them in the same directory. Whenever I use the dos version I get sound but it doesn't play correctly, such as the title music stops on a note and it continues playing well humming. Any help would be appreciated..

For the DOS version to have proper sound you must first make sure your PC has sound support for DOS. If you don't know anything about that, stop using DOS. Next you must use the AGSetup program to setup the right sound settings for your sound support in DOS. Screen "bending" could be some kind of video card program, unsupported video mode, maybe try adjusting your monitor as it may not be set to work in 320x240 very well. Another option would be to raise the resolution to 640x480 for the windows version. I'm not sure how all that is done now but someone around here does.

Changing the resolution helped quite a bit I still can't get sound in the windows version, but I am going to try the DOS version again. I think the HP comp I use has a craptacular sound card. But thanks for the help Mottzilla.

You get sound in other windows applications right? And you get NO sound in the windows version of ZC? I recommend checking your volume control (control panel or the system tray) and make sure the Midi Synth isn't muted or down too low to hear.

Another thing to try is to delete your ag.cfg file so ZC should auto detect your sound settings again.

I don't see anything for midi synth. Uh ohhhhh. I see Master Out, Wave Balance, CD Balance, Line In Balance, and Microphone balance. I see the words Crystal Audio Codec in the bottom left hand corner.

Thanks for the help again Mottzilla!!!

Damn I wish I had Mac OS 10.2 so I could do this on a mac. Blehhh.....
