Yes, why couldn't you have just blown the dust out? Either way, no, I don't have a DS so I haven't had such a dilemma.

DsS Game and Ganon's Minion: I'd like to hear how you propose that dust behind the plastic screen shield (the same kind you'd find on a GBA and other such handhelds) be blown out.

You get an object like a butterknife of a flat head screw driver and CAREFULLY take off the plastic screen. It's stuck on there with adhesive so no worriez just clean off the dust and put it back on nice and neat. :D

You could also be letting more dust in when doing that. ;)

That's why you do a nice big blow, then quickly as hell replace the screen.

Or do it in a room where you know there won't be any airborn dust flying about...do it in an ICU room at the hosptial!!!!!1

It's called a small fan. It's pretty easy to just get it off.

Believe it or not but not everyone has access to a clean room to do that themselves. In my house there is alot of dust and other particles floating around. It cannot be helped unless you have some air filtering system running and rarely open doors or have a double door and you flush the air before letting anyone from outside into the house. That's just ridiculus though.

I think you are likely to make it worse than better doing yourself and risk voiding your warrenty. Returning it is the best idea. My screens are alright, but for some odd reason they get alot more dust and such than my GBA or GBASP ever did.

Its just a bit of dust... I can't see the problem. On my GBA,. there's a ton of dust, beats how it got there, but I can see fine, amogst the myriad of scratches. Same with my phone. Well, actually, I go a hair trapped there, which was the most weird thing ever. I also found a nail (toe variety) lodged behind the battery.
