digicam help plz

I know nothing about digital cameras and I want to know if this is a good buy:

Without looking around too much, I believe u can get some of sony's or cannon's digital cameras with 5.2 or so megapixels for about that price. I've never had problems with the sony brand. I'd advice looking around more. Other people prolly know more about it than I do.

If you don't mind waiting you can save some money buy buying it at newegg. It seems like a decent point and shoot digicam, with good reviews. :shrug:

My parents and i got the same digital camera for my brother's 21st birthday next week (A85). It's a very good camera, and the newegg price is very cheap.
