Hidden Duality Director's Cut Bug

Help...I just got the Magic Book in level 4 Tungsten. I went back in and died. Now I start in the room where I got the book, but Link is not showing on the screen and cannot move. (It has been saved this way.) Can I get out of this or am I going to have to start over?
