First let me say, excellent quest!
I seem to be running into a problem with level 9 and I am wondering if it is because I am running the newest version of ZC. When I go through the portal in the NW part of the dungeon I am taken to "Beyond the Mountain," but apparently not to the correct position. I get dumped in the very NW of the map and all I see is a red screen.
This happened to me a couple other times during the game and I was able to find some way to get back onto the real map. This time however, I can't seem to figure out how to get in. I can see the ice caves on my right and I get stuck in the wall of another ice cave room when I try to go south.
Any suggestions or workarounds?

P.S. Am I missing something to clear the screen in the two (so far) rooms in level 9 where it is covered in red and all I can see is my sword every once and a while? I was able to use the lens to judge my position, but is that all there is to it? I did find the coins in the one room, but I don't remember finding anything in the second room.
