How do I pick a palette or cset for a cave. You know I mean a item/room, shop, ect. Does it HAVE to use the same palette as the overworld? I don't get it.

Yes. Like, this.

I don't really understand everything in Zelda Classic Quest editor. Please tell what I'm doing wrong.

Did you read Alphadawg's basic tutorial. It explains very clearly what you should do to set up a cave.

You need to understand normal caves that use Screen 80 doesn't use dmaps, so you can't select the cset or palette.

When I first learnt how to make quests, all I had was Alphadawg's tutorial & I didn't even ask so many questions. All I needed to know how to make a basic quest was found in that tutorial.

It takes a long time to grasp the basic concepts of ZQuest but once you master them, then you can make your quests. Following that, you can advance further & learn how to make your own custom bosses, cutscenes, etc...
