I don't if a thread has been made or not, but the console version recently came out. It's a game about... well... go here (www.alienhominid.com) to find out about it. Newground members will recognize it.

I think it looks good, n-e-1 else have an opinion?

I've never played the online flash game, but I'm curious about it, and probably will soon. If I like it enough, I'll consider checking out the console version too.

The Flash version kicked the shit out of me and I got tired of it after a little while, so I doubt I'll be checking the console version out. I mean, I've played Metal Slug and a bit of Contra, so I'm used to tough games; it's not the fact that it's hard, it's the fact that I literally was unable to get past the first level after an hour. I think that's a bit much.

I loved the flash game, and I'll be getting the console game. It's supposed to be pretty short, but what can you expect out of a $30 console game. :p

I've never played the flash game, but I love the art direction in the game, and they little dude looks cool. :D

I tried playing the flash version last night to get a feel for how the game plays, but it would load so far, and then the picture would just go black. Maybe it's getting hit by too many users? :shrug:

I did watch a video of the console game at the official site, http://www.alienhominid.com/ , the game looks really crazy. My only concern is that it is very short.

I'm gonna rent the console version, because I hope its easier. Utherwise I'll think twice...

It's actually a side-scrolling shooter kinda like Contra. It's supposed to be really cool though. I watched the video on the official site and it looks insane. Tons of explosions, lots of blood and decapitations, huge and inventive bosses, vehicles, etc...

I think I'm gonna rent it first too.

awesome. I love 2-d games. I miss them in this world of GTA, and Mario Shine.
