1. I log on to www.logmein.com
2. I eter a security code
3. I enter my user name and password(for my local machine)
4. I gain access to my computer
5. I then fire up my firefox
6. Enter the url (ie. Armageddongames.net
7. Im there

(if they block log me in then im fucked)

So is there something like sub7 that intergrates windows security and lets me access my own unflterd pc without going throug a middle man?

I'm sure that you can do such things with Linux and XWindows, and I'm fairly sure such functionality exists for Windows XP. I've never needed to, so I don't know how, personally.

What does this have to do with SubSeven, anyway?

I use PuTTY to get access to the shell on my home computer. I can run naim or lynx to talk to people or access most pages that are lynx compatible.

Sub7 is a trojan. If you can run it on your computer without something screaming at you, that's bad. Try TightVNC (http://www.tightvnc.com/).

You can always use a proxy to bypass the web filters. Look up various socks v4/v5 proxies online and use the IP address and ports in your web browser. I'm not sure how successful some proxies are in internet explorer (The one I use works fine in Firefox but not in IE for some reason). Be warned though, you lose a lot of speed on some of these proxies, and it isn't 100% reliable, but it works, and that's the important part.

Anyone know a way to get around a college blocking your ports for gaming? So far the only online game I have found that I can still play is Diablo 2. Heck, I can't even use pogo.com

i heard ssh tunnels were good for that but i dont see how a telnet like interface can get you websites

edit: logmein uses 256-bit SSL so no sysop can see what u r doing (actually most sysops dont know much about computers)

pogo's little game-play plugin has spyware. not being able to use it is a good thing.
