Apparently, bug fixes, and this neat new ability to place tabbed windows directly from links. Sounds tantalizing. I would just right-click, copy shortcut, do a Ctrl+T, and a Ctrl+V. Takes all of 3 seconds. No biggie. Now, .. it only takes one. :p

You can do that in Opera too if you pass in the right option when calling the program. Gaim for instance, has added options to let you choose how your default will open links, whether it be in a new tab or new window, etc. Not sure if there is a way in Opera to set this preference for all outside calls. There might be.

As much as I love Opera, Firefox has become very polished, and I'm glad its making strides to take some of the browser market share away from IE.

Ctrl click, or clicking with the mouse wheel opens a new tab. It has since .7 or .8, so I'm not sure what problem you have. Shift click opens a new window. F6 jumps to the address bar.

Just installed it. How do I get the browser to play from Real Media Player instead of from Quick Time?

Go to the options menu. Look around, there should be an area in plain sight where it says something like 'Open the following file extensions using these programs' Change it to the one you want and you're set.

I did that but end up downloading the media extension...it doesn't remove the Quick Time & I see the media player at the bottom..can only play sound but not picture.
There should be an Option that allows one to choose the media player...but I'm stuck with Quick Time.
In addition, I have to go to File to start a new tab..and the toolbar doesn't have much..only the navigation & bookmark toolbar...I wanted more stuff in the toolbar like a panel to press new tabbed browser.

If you right click on the bar where the [back, forward..] buttons are you can customize it any way you'd like ;)

Oh I know how to do that. In fact I use that all the time.

I was referring to the new advanced option in Firefox, the "Open links from other applications in: a new window, a new tab in the most recent window, or the most recent tab/window" option.
