Help in Metroid XL-75¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

I need help in Metroid XL-75, when I finished Lv-3 I went left and I founded a spike path that if I touch it I lose almost all my life, how can I pass there? :(
Please help, I would be very thankful if you do. :)

Don't worry about that, that's for later on. Okay, that's the brinstar-like area I recall. You got the grappling beam there from the boss... if you go back in that level go a few screens up from the boss and you can use the grappling beam to get to those stairs across the water which has a VERY useful item below. After you get that, go back to the first area you start teh game. To the north of that area is anotehr elevator which takes you to the snow region where level 4 is at.

BTW, do you see the banenr and stuff in my sig? That quest is a sequel to this one which boasts better graphics, gameplay, music, etc. I have a demo you can get from my sig. Another thing... I have been working on remaking this quest to the sequel's graphics and just completely remaking it. Give me a week and the remake will be out in the AGN QDB. :)
