I read the tutorial, but it is not working to open up my custom quest. I have 1.92 and I am using windows xp. I open up zelda classic and go to quest.dir or whatever it is. I see my quest files. Now in the tutorial you say to press the a buttontwice, nothing happens like it should, nothing did happen. I check the button and I am pressing the right button for A, but nothing happens. I have my quest highlighted and everything. Nothing pops up when I press A twice. What is wrong.

Thanks

um

Here's MY tutorial.

Go into Zelda.exe
Get to the main screen where you enter your name.
Enter your name.
Hit the 'A' button. a menu will pop up.
Hit the 'A' button. a window will pop up.
Click on 'browse'
find your quest.
hit 'ok'
wait for it to load.
hit the 'start' button

Play the quest.

and make sure you're not pressing the 'A' key, instead of pressing the key you have assigned for 'A'

I think he was literally going to the explore directive for the file (you know, windows Key + E) and hitting the button while click on the file. Dense.

here's mine

How to load custom quests in Zelda Classic
1) Double click on zelda-w.exe
2) Press "Enter" to pass the flames.
3) Press "Enter" to pass the Zelda intro screen.
4) register a name, and press enter.
5) press "A" (Alt)
6) Press "A" (Alt) again
7) browse to the quest you want to play, choose it and press "ok"
8) press "Enter" to play.
The above steps assume you have put the custom quest in the folder with Zelda Classic
