Custom Quest Loads As Original

Hi I just did the custom quest tutorial chapter 1 from the alphadawgs ZC tutorial and I have a problem. When I load my quest it loads as the orginal Zelda. Does anyone have any ideas?

are you loading it from zquest.exe, or zelda.exe? make sure you select the custom quest using methods from this thread (http://www.armageddongames.net/showthread.php?t=59715).

kk im not 2 sure what u mean so ill tell u exactly what im doin.
alright i open the Zelda Classic 1.92 beta 183. Then i go to misc. then quest Dir. then i select my quest hit ok and then i create a zelda file like where you register your guy. Then it loads the original quest not mine.

you don't slect your quest in that way. when you start a new file, you press the key you have assigned for 'A' twice, select your quest, click OK, then hit enter

How to load custom quests in Zelda Classic
1) Double click on zelda-w.exe
2) Press "Enter" to pass the flames.
3) Press "Enter" to pass the Zelda intro screen.
4) register a name, and press enter.
5) press "A" (Alt)
6) Press "A" (Alt) again
7) browse to the quest you want to play, choose it and press "ok"
8) press "Enter" to play.
The above steps assume you have put the custom quest in the folder with Zelda Classic
