That was a well thought out, and very descriptive analysis of your problem, and please allow me to be as helpful as I can, in helping you solve the malfunction.

You should try to find a large hammer, preferrably 16-20oz, grasp it firmly, and swing it at your monitor as fast and hard as you can. If by some chance your monitor survives the first blow, hit it again. And then continue on by "fixing" the computer box as well.

I beleive the problem exists between the chair and keyboard.

since my colleagues have given you the best advice possible, the last bit of advice I can give you is to download the latest version. 90% of the problems running ZC are between your box running WinXP and trying to run zc1.90 or earlier. Download the latest, and try again.
