Wow, I just had to laugh at that. It confirms my suspicion that all you need to be a pop star is to be a media whore (female or otherwise) that is willing to do anything to make the people happy and also be really hot and have some singing ability. Seriously, I never was into music like that. To me, while I can understand her embarassment, is also funny to watch since I was not very much into today's music in the first place. Now if only Outkast and a few other bands would spontaniously combust, I'll be happy.

I don't think she planned on lip syncing the song, but only having a recording play with background vocals (and a beat of course so the the band could keep up). It makes sense since she didn't have any other singers on stage with her, and her songs rely on a lot of background vocals with echo effects. The SNL people just screwed up by playing the tape for the song she played earlier in the night. No big deal, they could've fixed things, but Ashlee walked off the stage. Very unproffessional if you ask me :shrug:
