How does this work with quests that also have sfx.dat files?
do you get those as well?

Also I just PM'ed JayeM a few days ago with the info on the last three quests I've done that I haven't submitted, they aren't up there yet, but I wouldn't want to submit them again if it's in the works.

Hey, this is very cool! To be able to submit quests ourselves now is great. And the top ten lists... well they're definitely interesting. Eckels, you are great! ;) The QDB is the best Quest DataBase, and though it has almost all the possible quests, I wish it would be a bit more... well, active. Or I dunno. The last time I visited the page there weren't that many comments or ratings, but the download numbers were huge...

i'm hoping that the top ten lists will encourage more people to vote. i may make a "most commented on" list as well...

I do have a list of planned features that will hopefully drive up activity. Really though, in the end, activity will depend largely on word-of-mouth.

But I am planning monthly, if not weekly features that should pull in a few extra people. More news on this later.

I think I might have found a bug though, with the "Most Rated quests", it seems that some quests that have 10 or more votes aren't showing up, "Mario's Insane Rampage" was voted on 11 times, but isn't on that list.

Hmmm, I just noticed a small bug. There seems to be one quest with a rating of 0.5 (½ heart) but it just says "No Rating" and there's something weird under it... :eyebrow:

And I can confirm VEL's bug.

So how do you update a quest?
I tried to resubmit and it won't accept it because it says a quest of that name already exits.
The version you have up of Search for Elise has a serious computer freezing bug, this one fixes it

and you still have serious problems with that site too, it STILL won't let me log in, and I get illegal operation windows closing me out.
The only page on the net I go to that does this to me.

Sorry to trouble you again.
Tom feels I've used some of his wav sounds in my sfx.dat files, and since I have 100's of wavs and really don't know where they all came from I told him I would replace those sounds in my sfx.dats

These sfx.dat files are for Search for Elise and Link to Tortuga.

New Link to Tortuga sound file is HERE (http://members.toast.net/mfreedom/2.10_sfx.zip)

New Search for Elise sound file is HERE (http://members.toast.net/mfreedom/181+_sfx.zip)

Anyone else interested in these sound files (sfx.dat) are welcome to use them, grab sounds out of them, whatever....
The Tortuga sfx.dat works with the new 2.10 ZC program and the Search for Elise sfx.dat works with 192-181 and up including the 182, 183, 184 players.

Hmmm... for some reason, the QDB keeps logging me out. I log in and then try to go to another page, and it tells me 'you are not logged in'. And yes, 'remember me' is selected.

It happened to me on this very forum. I wasn't using the same modem as the one I used when I registered, maybe you're in the same situation.

I'm having a problem, I can't rate or comment on quests. Even if I 'log on' on Zeldaclassic.com and go to rate a quest it says 'you must be logged on and registered to rate a quest' I've had this problem for a long time, does anybody know how to fix it?

When you log into the forum click on the Quest database link above then find the quest you are looking for. It always works for me.
