View Full Version : AVG Antivirus Help?

My dad wants me to install AVG but I keep getting this error that \win32\whaterver.nt doesn't support MS-DOS (that's a big DUH, I'm running XP SP2) So I took the site's advice and used Winrar on it and extracted it and still get that error. What the heck do I do? O_O It said it was fully compadible with SP2.

i had no problem installing AVG (although i had it installed before i got SP2)...

would it be possible for you to get a screenshot (print screen) of the error?

I serched for that file and it does exist, it's not deleted or anything... And when I click Ignore it just closes and nothing happens.

Get the latest version from www.grisoft.com. It has been updated and is compatible with SP2.

That's exactly the one I got. Well, my dad reformatted the computer (or something similar, but he saved everything that was installed, it's all still there) So I installed it and it works, and now I'm getting all the Windows updates again.

Windows XP Service Pack 2.
