Well, a few weeks ago I completed a Ganondorf Portrait:

I'm pretty empressed on how it came out, but it's missing a few things. I'm currently updating it so I'll have it finished before moving on to my next project. For starters, I need to emphasize the jewel on his forehead more, and add the metal part around it. And also move his whole face down a bit to fill up some of the extra space on his chin.

I'm also looking for more ideas to add to him. If ou guys think I should add anymore faces or anything, or if there's something I should fix, pelase let me know. Thanks for your help.

It's nice..

make it have a goatee though like in Wind Waker, that was cool.

or longer sideburns.

Yeah, a goatee, or a thin beard would be cool.

I think IaN's is very, very professional, if not a bit teenagery. Here's a Wind Wakery design for you to compare with for personal preference. (Of course, this isn't quite ZC compatible at the moment. I'll get you the real version, if you're actually planning on using it. :p

EDIT: Don't mind the background. I'd edited this image quite a bit to make it look a bit blurrier to show less pixels.

BTW, IaN, it looks to me like your Ganondorf portrait is only viewable in Cset 2 of the overworld. o_O .. That means that it'll change when you switch scenes. You'd only be able to view his portrait on the overworlds, or in dungeons where you make a new Pallete (And therefore a new Dmap) for with Cset 2 of the overworlds in. .. Tell me I'm wrong. :\

Yeah, you're probably right, but unless I give it its own palette, cSet 2 is as best as it gets. I could make a Dungeon pallette version also, but that would only work with that dungeon palette, therefore it doesn't help much at all.

If it's absolutely nessesary, there are more than enough extra cSets in most of Pure's Dungeon Palettes, so they can just grab the paletteand put it in. It's not very efficent, but there's not a whole lot I can do with palettes :/ I take what I can get.

You're not wrong.

I'd liek to keep this as close to OoT Ganon as possible, so no goatee's or beards. And I actually did give him longer sideburns, but his suit collar is in the way.

These days I've been customizing dungeon palettes a lot. It's not terribly hard to consolidate a few colors you need by replacing colors you don't. For my Deluge Temple, I need rain for the outdoor segments, but that's the only overworld combo I'll be using on the DMaps for that level. So, I changed three colors I wasn't using, and then recolored a copy of the tiles with those newly made colors.

My point is that dungeons don't use many colors in many tilesets, so there are usually some you can do without, if it aids you in bringing in a few special tiles for that area (in this case a portrait).
