The results i was kinda expecting...

D in Computing, E in Maths..... Failed Physics and Japanese (Bastard subjects those)

But despite that failure I called up the University I wanted to go to and applied for Clearing, which is basically to fill in the gaps.

I was expecting to only go in for the foundation course, not the full deggree course, but after a nice convo onthe phone, I got accepted into the full course! OMG YAY! XD

I'm really excited now.

Of course, the only problem is, my family are bastards and have said that they forbid me from going to a university far away =/ middlesex just happens to be far away.. but I will do everything i can to get out of this hell hole home :D

Actually, here in Virginia Beach E is on the grading scale for public schools, but they don't use Es in college, because an F is more appropriate. I'm not sure why though.

they dont use E's here. What grade would an E signify then?
here, A's are typically 90's, B's = 80's, C = 70's, D's = 66-69, and F's are anything below 65.

that's what they use in the rest of virginia. last time i saw an e was back in primary school, when it meant excellent

The Virginia Beach City Public Schools have the following grade ratings

A = 100-92
B = 91-82
C = 81-70
D = 69-60
E = 59-0

Heh, for my school 69% is failing. We're the only one around who has it so high. We don't ever really use the letter grading system so I'm always shakey on what percent means what.

Most of the higher letters depend on the course or examining board (not by much though, uusally about 80%), but it seems they all consider an E as 40%.

Congratulations.
In england right now, everyones getting "A"s in everything.
Its all down to the papers tho. They're ridiculously easy. So they dont know what to do and are all in a big pickle.

Your parents can't "Forbid" you of anything once you are 18, per say. They can, however, not give you financial support.
