My ISP screwed up my DSL

I now get 1.5MB downstream instead of 256kb! i'm not telling them, and they can't bill me any extra for something i didnt sign up for. Hopefully they never notice :)

Congrats. Most likely they'll never find out unless you call them for some problem and while fixing it they reset your speed.

Here's to hoping they never notice. I've called a couple of friends in the area with the same contract and ISP to see if they are getting the same thing. Let's hope it's an isolated case and not an across the board type of thing.

hehe... what ISP do you have?? i'm in Seattle, with Verizon. they recently upgraded the DSL to 1.5 MBPS as well (unbeknownst to me of course) and i thought i had scored big time. then they sent me something in the mail informing me that i would have to pay like $5-10 more a month or something for it. so i did
