It would be a flame, and not at all a pun.

For all you know SNOWCOCK could be named after the Himalayan Snowcock, that lives, not only in the Himalayan Mountains, but also in the Ruby Mountains in Nevada.

both of those snowcocks has been the funniest thing i've seen all day. I was thinking, " so that's why they call him snowcock....".
