joysticks

Is there anyway to configure a joystick to correspond with the keyboard? Say a game doesn't have joystick support, so you want the stick to be the arrow keys and the the buttons to be letters or something. I just bought a ps2 controller to usb adaptor, and i'm eager to try it on some 2D MMORPGs. =)

Support for the Linux /dev/js interface, version 1.0 or better. This has been included as part of the mainstream kernel since the late 2.1 days and should definately be in 2.2 and above. You can also get the latest driver (installable loadable module)
