Digital is faster and easier to manipulate, but you just can't beat a quality film camera when it comes to overall quality. Digital still can't come close to the shutter speed of a film camera.

1/4000 is the standard for DSLRs, 1/8000 is not extraordinary, by any means. My P&S could do 1/2500. Shutter speed really isn't a consideration in the film vs digital debate. :shrug:

DSL and Broadband are NOT the same. DSL runs through the phone lines. Broadband runs through the cable lines and is 5x's faster.

Cable Broadband is theoretically faster. It's a lot less than 5x faster when you consider throughput, tier connection sharing, and the fact that cable companies purposely limit how much bandwidth you can actually use. All that talk on the commercials is just marketing.
