Web Cam Help

I got a webcam. I'm trying to set it up on my site as a snapshot cam and refresh every couple of seconds. I found some software, but for every one I have to enter my FTP address and the username and password. Fine. I did, but it asks for a directory. You'd think it would be something like "domain.com/directoryhere", but I get errors telling me it doesn't exist. Does anyone know how to set it up so I don't get that?

I realized my obvious mistake, and fixed it. But now my problem is linking to the picture from the site. How do I retrieve images on the ftp server from the site itself?
