This is funny. This is about the &nbsp tag.

Dont worry there is no such thing as a &nbsp virus. Its the person who makes the webpage. I think microsoft word does it in html mode.

That's one of the dumbest things I've ever read. If anybody knows anything about web developement, the &nbsp tag is user created. Hold down the space key for more than one space at a time, and you get those. (this, of course rivals the AGN forum way of doing things, where holding down the space key eliminates extra spaces.)

This guy should check his enemas and delete his page off of his server for wasting people's time.

Being a satire, it does bring up what seems to be a valid point. Wouldn't using   take five times as much filesize to load than a normal space? Especially if used all the time, that actually could have a significant effect. If so, then he has a point under the sarcasm.

let see i have a 512 kbs (which translates to 60KB/s in downloading) at a coffe shops wireless access point (its free except for the 50$ PCMIA card). You have 1.5 MB which would be 180 KB/s...

My coffe shop connection "eats" a full (650MB) ISO in like 5-7 hours.

So if you can do an iso in like 2-4 hours I can imangine how fast a agn page would be inhaled!! w00T

I have 3.0 MB/s (cable) like 5 goddamn miles away from me and i cant GET IT!!!!!! and that would, by the way, can eat a iso for lunch! 1-2 hours for a d/l.

At home i got 28 on this computer and 43 on my laptop. (no not MB/s (which would be like T3) but kb/s)

use something as small as a 1px x 1px spacer gif and you've already completely blown that theory out of the water. god forbid you put a bigger picture on a website. WHEW!
