Looks like an exciting game, it also looks like its going to be harder than Metroid Prime 1, if that is possible. lol

The visuals look sharper and smoother. Samus's suit is cooler. Cluster missile locking looks to be fun, and fast. And as for multiplay, it certainly looks... interesting.

I just hope they took a hint from R&D1 and SUPPORTED speed running and sequence breaking this time, rather than needlessly making it harder as they did every time they patched Prime 1.

All I pray for is that they improved the turning radius Samus had in Prime 1. The video doesn't look so, but thank God they're still in the earlly stages and all. Hopefully it'll happen.

I also wonder if this will have anything to do with the Prime-Metroid at all? But, maybe that's what "Dark Samus" is. It does sorta resemble the last suit you obtain in Prime 1  .

I thought in Metroid Prime the turning radius was 360 degrees... I don't see how you can improve on that.

Oops. Excuse me, turning radius speed ;) . Come on, I'm not the only one who thought that was a bit... Slow, right?

Didn't bother me... then again I don't play many FPSs.

It would be nice for it to be able to go faster. I know in some of the areas were you had to leap up cliffs it would cause a bit of delay to turn to face the next ledge.

After all, you're using a control stick, so if you want to turn more slowly you should just push it less.

Speaking of Metroid Prime 2 videos, IGN posted videos showing off some of the new and returning weapons - such as the screw attack :D

Videos: http://media.cube.ign.com/media/499/499105/vids_1.html
Metroid Prime 2 Interview: http://cube.ign.com/articles/515/515494p1.html (possible spoilers!)

On the second page of the interview, I found this funny since we talked about the possibility of a Screw Attack in the new Metroid a few weeks ago:

----------------

IGN: How much of the game takes place in first-person versus third-person morphball?

Kensuke Tanabe: As far as the percentages, it's probably not very different from Metroid Prime. Most people are going to be playing in first-person mode for the majority of the game. In terms of other third-person elements, there's the new screw attack. That's in third-person because first-person would make you ill [laughter].

Most likely it does since its the sequel. Dark Samus is the the phazon suit she got in Prime which the Metrod Prime took off samus.
