File space

What aspects of a quest determine file size on the disk. I have a good number of strings, tiles, combos, maps, and dmaps and I'm only about 1/4 finished with my quest. I want to know whether it's going to continue to grow and if I should spend a week cleaning it up and getting the file size down or if it should be ok. Thanks.

I think it's two things.

1) Tiles in the quest. (But you can have -A LOT- before it really makes a difference. I'm going on 100+ Tiles Pages filled.
2) Map #'s. - 30 Maps, aren't that bad. 107 maps.. ungodly.

The other things which dictate it, are combo pages, and actual screens. Other than that, I'm not sure. Midis within the quest make a surprisingly small difference. :odd:

midis generally aren't that large of files anyway...

Like I said I'm about 1/4 finished building the quest and I have I think 11 maps... so extrapolate that to about 40 (I've been making better use of my map space recently... I think I can get it down lower... thanks for the help.

I have 65 maps and started with 870 kb tileset size and am done through level 4 and the size is now 2.73 megs, if that helps.
