Half Life problem....

I just purchased Half Life. It came with 5 mods for it. The problem is my exe is old of date. I have tried download the patch v1.04>1.05 but nothing seems to be working. Can someone please help? *paces back and forth waiting to begin the bloodbath*

Look for a patch that updates any version of half life to the most recent. I suspect the problem is that you don't actually have v1.04, so the 1.04-1.05 patch isn't working.

Go to THIS PAGE (http://www.planethalflife.com/half-life/files/) and download the full client patch. It's like 82mb, but it should take care of any version problems.

Find the filename of the update you need, enter it in google, viola.

get the Half-Life Update Utility (ftp://ftp3.sierra.com/pub/patches/pc/hlupdate.exe) from Sierra's website, and it'll give you a few places to get the latest patch (version 1.1.1.0)

OR you could just get Steam like everyone else... it's a bit more complicated, but that's how you get the latest version of the program, and it's a lot better. Plus it gives you auto downloads for updates on a bunch of mods, it's really good. It's the standard for Half-Life gaming.
