I assume it is a bunch on mainly Jews' bodies after being killed by Nazi's. Of course the weird logic is that, though probably not, Rush could want Jews to be killed but wasn't leader so he couldn't do anything.

Those are dead Jews from the holocaust. The logic is that you are comparing a racist biggot (which, admittedly, is despicable) so a racist biggot who actively killed the people he was racist toward. It's like saying he was a suicide bomber. The only difference is proximity.
