Lately, I've been writing for this group project at PureZC, so most of my creative energy has been put into that. However, I have been working on some side stuff. These two are MIDI demos of actual songs that I've written. I'm in the process of finding musicians to play their respective parts on these songs. The Midis include the two guitar parts, bass, and drums. There is no vocal track added to them yet, and I'm not putitng up lyrics until I get them copyrighted, but these are basic blueprints of the actual songs. The dynamics are kinda off cause I wrote them on my horrible machine with a horrible sound card. And the transitions are a little rough; as I said, these are basically just demos. That said, here they are....

Voices (http://angelfire.com/music5/jandl/jaymz/Voices.mid)
Sorrow of the Woodworker (http://angelfire.com/music5/jandl/jaymz/SorrowoftheWoodworker.mid)

Criticism is greatly appreciated. What is good, what is bad? Dynamic and transition comments aren't really neccesary, as the form will most likely change.

Remember, these ARE just MIDI renditions...actual recordings would own.

Uh, No one's answered, so I'm bumping this. I think it's perfectly fair.

I don't think this is spam, as this post DOES serve a purpose.

Sound good to me, but I'm not much of a music critic. I don't really like the syntheticness (whatever) of them. I'd much rather hear an actual recording

Interesting... for it being in the annoying MIDI-style, I like the second song you have there. What do you use to make the MIDI's?

Let me know if you actually get it played :)

I plan on recording it this summer, but I dunno if that will pan out. I've found a way, it's just...finding the time. And I'll definately post them up somewhere, and get them going around on Kazaa...heh heh heh....
