View Full Version : Why is ZC pinging hosts?

While playing the alpha, my firewall keeps going crazy because it claims ZC is trying to send an ICMP type 11 or something like that. The IP it is trying to send to is on my ISP, but is not me or my gateway or any other server that ipconfig /all lists.

What the devil is going on?

Sounds like your ZC is infected with a virus. Try running an antivirus proggy.

That's very odd. My nightly scan didn't pick up anything last night, and I downloaded the program from the thread in here. Perhaps it is something spyware, I do remember my browser trying to go to pdp.gator.com or somewhere a couple times when I started it the other day. AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy don't pick anything up, though.

*sigh* One more reason for me to speed my flatten and reinstall up.
