Controller Troubles

I have a Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Analog 2 controller for my PC. It was working great for a while, but I had to reinstall Windows a few months ago. Since then it hasn't worked with a lot of my programs. Some simply don't recognize it, others only recognize a few of the buttons. Odd thing is it used to work in pretty much all of these programs. Anyone got any suggestions as to how I could get it working again like it used to?

This may seem kind of obvious and you probably have tried it, but have you gone online to look for the drivers for it?

There are no drivers. I tried their site and it simply says that it is 'HID-complient', which means you simply plug it in and Windows finds it and installs it.
