This is probably the best place for this. I was bored yesterday so I grabbed my old Nintendo and opened Photoshop and ended up with this:

The depth is a little off on the console. Still better than I could do, I'm sure.

Not bad, not bad... I like what you've done with the lighting... however *tsk, tsk* you can definately make a better chord than that... Hey, send me the pic you used next time you see me on AIM, I'll try and create something similar in graphic arts sometime... I need some independant work.

You failed too. While he made, in your opinion, a less than satisfactory cord, your "chord" is an unacceptable attempt to create a "cord". :evil:

The cord was a bitch to do... Also, the point was that I was bored and had nothing better to do.... I'm thinking of trying to make a Dreamcast next, maybe an attempt on an XBox in a few months.

Wow, bored huh? Yeah, it looks good. Do you have Illustrator? It would be easier to make a cord in that I think.

Indeed, Adobe Illustrator I think would be easier to make the whole thing in.

You used a outer bevel for the embossing on the controller ports. Try an inner bevel. That should help the ports get a more 'recessed' look to them.
