Does anybody know where you can view online WW2 vidoes (not movies made by hollywood, I mean actual battle-front captures) for free, in any format? I've taken an interest in this topic, and any help would be great.

I looked around for stuff like that a long time ago, and found nothing. You'd have better luck at a library if you live near a major metropolitan area. There is lots of footage; we watch it in German class. If you get the history channel, you could also tape it off of there.

Would it be too far off the mark to guess that this is what you're looking for a translator for?

Click on video and audio
They might not have what your looking for but they do have some old film clips.

(edit)
I was looking for anything dealing with actual combat but they seem to be mostly news reels of the time.

They save everything.
They dont have any videos on the site but if you write them you might figure out how to get a copy of old film clips of combat mailed to you.Not sure if they do that or not but check it out anyway.
