when i opened the new release and went to about it said that it was build 183 not 184 like we were told that it was, what happened? No Mp3's either...

Because FCF was doing the builds for 184, he didn't update the version number on the 'about' section. This is actually the second build of a184 (notice a184, not b184) so there are still some problems that need to be addressed between this and the current alpha given to the testers (1.93a2)
