I'm looking for a Really Good Midi of the fallowing songs from Zelda: A link to the Past:

1.) The Castle Dungion Theme
2.) Dark Forest/Mountain Theme

I've got the Plain-Jane versions of both these already, but the other songs i'm using have really cool sounding Remakes.

I'll go home, put 'em on a disc, and ship them to a solid location. Perhaps I can also find them at VGMusic.

I have near perfect MIDI versions of all of the Zelda 3 songs. The ZIP file is 140Kb, so I can email it to you if I can get your address. If you have a Sound Blaster Live or other card that supports soundfonts, I also have a soundfont that makes the songs sound exactly as they do in the game. Let me know if you're interested.

These can be found at vgmusic, I think they are the best ones out there:

http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/snes/Zelda3_Death_Mountain_Theme.mid Dark World Mountain

http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/snes/z3hyrule.mid Hyrule Castle (This is what you meant with castle, right?)

(You get some kind of message, but you can still listen to them)

Why dont you use .it files? Those are better.

Tracker music is annoying. I refuse to use it, as have others.

If it can't be done with midis, it doesn't need to be done.

I agree. MIDI's are fine. If you have a halfway decent sound card, MIDI sounds really good. And the file size is nice and small.

Midi doesn't guarantee that your music will sound the same on every system, even with soundfonts. If you want to make absolutely sure that you want a song to sound the way you want it to, Tracker is where it's at.
Most quest authors don't seem to care about that, but I do.

Well, Actually, I never did use tracker music because it sounds sorts wierd. It sounds like some old man's crackly voice.

then you downloaded the wrong file...

tracker files are basically midi files, but use samples (wavs) for the sounds... so the song quality depends on the samples used...

they can be the best of the best, or the most terrible thing you've ever heard...
