Shortly after Christmas, i pick up a game cube. i've gotten a good number of games for it, and they keep me occupied, but lately i've been wanting to play some sort of an RPG. can anyone suggest something good for GC(other than crystal chronicles)?

I don't think there are many RPGs for GC besides Lost Kingdoms (which is more of a card battler), and Evolution Worlds which isn't suppose to be that good. The one RPG you'd want to get for the system:

Skies of Arcadia Legends

It's out of print now though. You can also try www.thegametrader.com and ebay http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2 F&krd=1&from=R8&MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&query=skies+of+arcadia+legends

Well you could get the Gameboy player and just use that for all the great rpg's on that and by the way Skies of Arcadia is a good rpg i also recomend it.

Although it is more of a life-sim than an RPG, Animal Crossing is pretty sweet. Try to think Sims al Harvest Moon with a little touch of Link's Awakening. It's easy to get into, so I'd recomend it (unless you want to hold onto your soul for a little while longer)

wait, you mean it's possible to keep your soul WHILE at AGN? wow :odd:

anyway, try Zelda, or SSBM (it has a side scrolling adventure mode, it's fun, but not really an RPG). hmm... I can't think of any -good- RPGs for the GCN (exept for what I said above)... oh wait, there's StarFox Adventures. it's a little short as far as RPGs go, but it's very well done ;)

see, i was thinking about animal crossing, but with the whole things happen in real time bit, i don't think i could do it. i have enough of a life that i don't have the chance to play my gamecube everyday. i am however, waiting for them to release another harvest moon.

I was just thinking you could play Phantasy online episodes one and two and if you like that three is just about to come out.

PSO is the second best RPG out on the Cube, next to Skies of Arcadia (which, now that I know is out of print, will be in my collection soon. I was hopping for the price to go down, a lot. Now I know why it's so high.) I've played Animal Crossing, while, it is a great game, I just couldn't stay with it. After a few days, I had nothing to do

PSO3 is coming out soon, but it's gonna be a turn based RPG, with cards, opposed to PSO1&2 where it's real time and you fight with cool weapons. If you have a few extra bucks, getting a hunter liscense to go online is a great idea (that is, if you are willing to pay to play, but online 0wns, and it's worth it) Get a copy of Skies of Arcadia if you can, if not, go with PSO.

I wish that I could get my hands on a few RPG games for the Game Cube like Phantasy Star Online: Episodes 1 and 2 and Skies Of Arcadia and I think I may know one place that just might have those games for me to buy.

Don't get Lost Kingdoms, that game sucked ;)

And as for Animal Crossing, you can manipulate the GC clock into thinking it's a different time so it's not that big a deal. It's a fun game, although you will probably eventually get sick of it.
