OMG, I just found this site, (http://metanoodle.com/minesweeper/) which led me to this video (http://metanoodle.com/minesweeper/videos/LasseNyholm43-1.avi) (you will need this codec (http://www.getafile.com/cgi-bin/merlot/get/techsmith/TSCC.exe))

I'm speechless. I'm going comb the rest of that site, it's pretty interesting. I've always had a special place in my heart for Minesweeper, but I don't know if I could ever get that good at it.

I'll install the codec later. I usually get 200 or so for expert. My best is only 171.

...that video doesn't look real. Granted, this person knows how to play Minesweeper, but the mouse doesn't jump around like that.

Yeah it screams of falseness. The human brain can't think that fast. There was no hesitation in the cursor at all. Even the fastest thinker in the world can't figure out things that fast. Probably another hoax just like the mario vid. :shrug:

I've heard such doubts, and I've heard possible explanations. First, check the site and the videos of other records. Second, realize you have a timer in the top right-hand corner that moves at the rate of one second per second.

The mouse does jump quite a bit in the picture, but I heard someone say they may be playing on a tablet, in which case I'm pretty sure it's like a palm, you just tap to click. Can anyone back me up on this?

Did the other videos have jumping like that? There's a possibility that the program only takes a few screenshots per second. It could explain the small size of the video.

Grrr... I need to stop posting so late at night. Can someone fix it for me, plz? If I edit it, it doesn't really change the title.

My best time on intermediate level was 55 seconds. I can't seem to do expert because I can't sustain concentration that long. To go really fast you have to memorize combination and click virtually without thinking.
