Well, this quest is called War for Hyrule, and has the same old story line since Im too lazy to create my own

Also beacue I have no talent drawing any custom tiles yet, this quest will use the Pure Tileset. Screenshots are taken from the death mountian area since thats all I really have done as of the time this post was... well.. posted :kawaii:

Nice start, but some of the SS's look a little bit...well, bland. it's always a good idea to make it look busier, either by adding rocks, or obstacles or something.

Well I realized they did look dull.. but its a work in progress.. so I'll be adding in some things to make it look better. Thanks :kawaii:

Use the 2x2 trees. The little trees are horrible. =p

These actually look pretty good, for a starting quest. :) But take Meat's advice. Use 2x2 trees in combination with the 1x1 trees. They're very good too, and variety is the spice of life and whatnot. :ooh:

I like what you were trying to do with the waterfall. Hey, any chance you can put the waterfall OVER the bridge and make it transparent, rather than make the bridge in front of it? :naughty: That would own.

Hehe well I will keep that idea in mind.. but right now I dont know how to do much, and that is something that Im sure I dont know how to do right now.. or even how to start going about it.. But now that you mention it.. that would be sweet

Hmmm...Try using layers. Create layer 5, make it transparent, and paint the waterfall over the bridge (which is on layer 0.) It would create a much better effect than what you currently have.
Oh yeah, if I'm wrong, please correct me.

As simple as Im sure it is for most.. Im still new to the whole Zquest stuff.. so if someone could be so kind to help me out with how to choose what layer to work on and stuff.. I would put that idea into motion

why must 'busier' or 'cluttered' screens always be preferred over something that is simplistic, but expertly designed? Must we restrict player movement space and clutter up a screen just so it can 'look good' on its own rather than contribute to the entire map?

I like the screens, especially the waterfall one.

I'm assuming in the future that you will be able to cross the bridge with a ladder.
