are there any programs that can compress a mp3 file. im just wonderin because i got an mp3 player for christmas and i want to get more songs onto my 128 mg player

MP3s are already compressed. If you zipped them, your player would likely not read them. If you really wanted, you could find a converter somewhere and downgrade their quality, say to 56 kbps. It would sound terrible though.

Yes, Starkist is right.. but that would also depend on the type of earphones/headphones you have.. If your earphones/headphones are average to begin with.. lowering the quality wouldnt make much of a difference... :shrug:

Well, is it Ogg Vorbis compatible? Ogg can compress music much more efficiently.
