I'll be excited when the Xbox version is compelted. My piece of shit comp can't come close to running it.

Still, I very highly doubt that it can even remotely compare to the origional. Doom just isn't Doom without an E1 by John Romero.

heh, shipping dates are extremely inaccurate. I've been following HL2 shipping dates, and it seems that every company makes up their own (not to mention the game has been delayed a few times). Doom is the same situation.

I look forward to Doom 3 (for PC... no ports). Graphics are incredible, but you need a good PC to play it well.

I was dissapointed with the charecter animation in a recent demo movie of Doom 3. It looks like it'll be a fun first person shooter, don't get me wrong, but something needs to be done about that horrible charecter animation.

You bet your cookies I'm getting this game, but the official release date is "When its done". Some got it in April, others May, and yours was even later. Seems lots of companys are following that. HL 2, "When its done" Duke Nukem Forever "When its done", Halo 2, "When its done"...

In the mean time, I'll just be playing JDoom. :drool:

The other game I was looking forward to, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth (http://www.callofcthulhu.co.uk/ns.php) seems to apparently be pushed back until September or at least after Summer. I've had that paid off since last summer. :(

FYI, Computer Station and Phobos Anamoly was not made by John Romero. ;)

I can't wait to play it. If the alpha is anything to go off of, its gonna be a great game, and keep in mind that was more than a year ago, and still an alpha. I don't think doom will have as good of graphics as Half Life 2, but I love the atmosphere of it. I love the sound effects in particular. Also, when it comes to graphics, I can rarely tell the difference if I am not comparing two games closely anyway.

I already have a coupon for Halflife 2 for getting an AIW 9600 pro, so I get that for free, and I will definately buy doom 3 as well. I can't wait. :)

I would really like to get the game but i don't think my compter can take it.. it only have 40 gb for a hard drive and Geforce 4... I know it was really good but not anymore..
