Eckels messin with acid

It's been a while since I last put together something in Acid, so i started working on a new project... The goal was a sort of dance-type song that you could kinda drive to...

It's hardly close to finished, but I worked out a general form for the rhythm... give it a listen and tell me what you think.

That's some good stuff. I've been looking at getting Acid myself. That, or Reason.

I highly reccommend Acid. Reason can be very complicated for doing simple things... People new to mixing tracks and sound editing should probably wait to use reason. If you want to work with loops and beats, I would first recommend Acid, and then Fruityloops. Both are excellent programs, and with the two you can do pretty much anything. I use Acid for mixing, and Fruityloops for creating loops.

BTW, here's some old stuff I did with acid a while back... Maybe it can give you an idea of what it's capable of.

good god, i had my volume turned up and started listening to Techo.mp3, and my whole fucking desk vibrated... nice bass samples or whatever they are...

I messed around a tad with that too. But having no patients I never bothered to actully keep playing with it.

Fruity Loops is fun though just switching ont he lights and stuff hahaha.

MY old roomie got some of his songs played on the radio and shit quite funny because his was all trance shit like apex twin.

To follow up the first post, I'm pretty much finished with that song i was working on. I named it Meritless. It's just over 7mb big and five minutes long.

I say pretty much finished, because what I always end up doing is, = I finish something to a point, then give myself some time away from it, then listen again and change stuff around that I dont like, or I think needs improvement. I can already tell that the levels of some parts toward the end need to be adjusted, but I'm done with fidgeting with it for now.
